I get it, I really do. We all want a stylish luggage set, but we don’t want to drop a month’s rent on it. Build & Materials
One of the first things you notice is how…nice…this luggage set looks. At first glance, you would never know it’s not a real leather set. It’s crafted from PVC leather material, which replicates the richness of real leather without the susceptibility to scratches or stains, and is waterproof.
The Coffee set I received looked like it cost three times the MSRP—and when you add in the leather-wrapped telescoping handle and gold hardware, it looks luxe. I can’t tell you how many times I received compliments at the gate before boarding my flight.
But in addition to looking great, this set also has a lot of useful features that enhance its durability and functionality. While the design feels more boutique hotel than rugged road warrior, it stood up just fine to some light rain I encountered, and an accidental coffee spill I managed in the hotel lobby (waterproof, remember).
The zippers work smoothly, and the telescoping handle is made from a thickened aluminum alloy that resists flexing (so it doesn’t wobble when extended). I like when handles have some give in them, so it was nice to have some wiggle room while carrying, without having to wrestle with a floppy handle.

Interior & Organization
The inside of the bags are fairly minimal, which is in keeping with the modern aesthetic. The suitcase is a fully lined, one-compartment design with some compression straps, and a zippered divider to help keep the interior organized. It’s not expandable, but it holds more than I expected, for a carry-on.

Rolling & Handling
The suitcase has a 360° 8-wheel rolling system, and I was surprised how smoothly it rolled. I rolled it through an airport, carpet, tile, sidewalk, and it never made a peep or a sound. I think the key is the wheels are totally silent, which was really noticeable to me, as a recent airline traveler. If you spend any amount of time rolling bags in an airport, you usually get used to that clicking sound of the wheels.
The maneuverability was also great, and the bag slid easily using one hand, while I balanced coffee in the other. For a business traveler who wants to get from point A to B at the airport without attracting too much attention, that quiet ride is a nice touch.
